A brief note about character development

I love creating new characters.  In many ways, it's like making new friends...and enemies.  I've had characters that I loved become such a huge pain in the ass.  Right now, as much as I love Holly, she's definitely becoming a PITA.  Sometimes I believe they have minds of their own.  I start writing a dialogue between her and Ben, and then she goes and fucks off somewhere for a while.  Even if I'm not done writing the dialogue, I have to stop writing her and make her vanish.  Don't get me wrong, I love this character, but I think she knows her time is finite.  With the heat wave dissipating, I will be able to write more.

Roasting in hell..oh wait...

It's been scorching here the last couple of weeks.  Too busy to write and being uncomfortable doesn't allow the muse to flow very well.  In fact, it's like a vacuum.  It sucks.
